Joy Jot #23 The Big 3 x 3

This week I taught a class on mental health for teens. I shared the Big 3 x 3

What are the Big 3?
Body • Mind • Spirit

Caring for your Big 3 helps with mental wellness because our bodies, minds, and spirits are connected!

What is the x3?
Three concepts for each area.

That makes nine concepts total—which is too much for a short message, so today I’ll just share one…about bodies.

I love bodies. They are so awesome. Your body is awesome, too.

Sometimes we get frustrated with our bodies—maybe because they don’t look the way we wish or don’t always work the way we want them to. But wow, they show up for us every day. From morning to night, your heart keeps beating, your lungs keep breathing, your eyes keep seeing, and your ears keep hearing. Your fingers open and close, your feet carry your weight, and your back bends and twists. You ask your body to wake up early, stay up late, care for small children or aging parents, manage household tasks, and respond to every movement request—and it does.

Thank you, body.

Bodies deserve to be cared for with love, grace, and gratitude.

How can you show your body “thank you” today?

You’ve got this!

Amy

PS: The x3 concepts for body are exercising, sleeping, and eating.
