Joy Jot #22: Rat Dog
You guys. The dreaded thing happened where the groomer said my dog’s hair was too matted to cut through. So, she shaved her down.
And she looked like a RAT DOG.
Ella is almost fourteen which makes her up there in dog years. She is looking a little skinny and ragged around the edges. The shave did nothing to improve her situation.
Ella’s new hair cut reminded me I like learning about life from dogs.
Today’s number one lesson is…
No matter what ella looks like, she thinks she is as adorable as ever.
She might be stinky, have a wet face, muddy paws, or look like a rat, but to Ella, her worth is exactly the same. She accepts herself fully just how she is and she expects me to be thrilled to pet and love her no matter what.
I think it’s awesome. And I think I could use a little more spunky acceptance of myself.
What about you?
Hey, even if your stinky, wet, muddy or get a bad haircut, you are as adorable as ever!
You’ve got this!
